  Videotronics have installed CCTV systems on more than 12 draglines over the past 15 years.

Each dragline can have up to 13 separate cameras onboard providing views of critical parts otherwise not able to be seen by machine operators.

Critical views include

• Rear view (required as minimum standard on most mine sites)
• Blind side view (gives operator view of working dozers etc)
• Hoist and Drag drums
• Rear Left side & Right side behind shoes (critical while walking)

Pan and Tilt cameras are now an option for underneath the tub to provide 360 degree field of view. These cameras have been well received by site personnel as well as operators. The cameras themselves are very robust and require minimal if any maintenance.
